MHCD is the founding partner of Computers for Congo

M.H.C.D (Mission in Healthcare & Development) is a community based organisation in the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo). It is an NGO (Non-government Organisation) based in Bukavu Town and Uvira, Sud Kivu Province and Lubumbashi, Katanga Province.

It was founded by Missionary Dr. Luc Mulimbalimba Masururu on 12th January, 2005.

The goal of MCHD is to bring a solution to healthcare problems and to eradicate poverty in their countries, especially rural villages by sensitisation of primary healthcare, treatment of chronic and hereditary diseases by use of natural medicines, training (orphans, youths, widows and other vulnerable) and education, to reduce the incidence of maternal and infant morbidity and mortality.

They run a program called Computers for Life, where the computers given by Computers for Congo are used in Computer Training Centres, Schools, Technical Colleges and Internet Cafes. They also run a micro-financing solution for graduates of the Training Centre so they can start their own small business and pay back the cost of the PC.
